1 Timothy 4:8 "For bodily exercise profits a little, but godliness
is profitable for all things, having promise of the life that now is and of that
which is to come."
I believe all of us know that bodily exercise is essential for
good health. But in this Scripture it is compared to the greatness of what
godliness profits. Our physical lives here on earth are short-term, but
godliness goes a long way and will benefit us generously now and throughout
eternity.
I encourage you today to put God first above all things. As you do, you
will see that other activities will be second to your time spent with
God. Receiving benefits from godliness will enable you to be healthy long
term.
