Matthew 5:9 "Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called
sons of God."
This Scripture is from the Sermon on the Mount. The essence of
this sermon was probably preached many times during the Lord's early
ministry. This sermon was not given as a way of salvation for the lost but as a
way of life for the believer.
To think that as we make peace with all in our lives, we please God and He
calls us His children. Once we repent and receive Jesus as our Savior, the
instructions from Him are easy. The closer we become with Jesus, the closer we
become with others.
I encourage you today to make peace with those you are at odds with you. By
doing so, not only will you become one of God's peacemakers, but you will be
called His son or daughter.
