1 John 2:28 "And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming."
What does this mean, that we will not be ashamed? The word ashamed in this Scripture in Greek is aischuno, which means shame. To have a feeling of fear or shame which prevents one from doing a thing. Here it means a possibility of being ashamed before the Lord at His judgment seat.
The great news is that we will not be ashamed because we abide in Him. When we abide in Him, then we truly know Him. When we know Him, in turn, He knows us.
I encourage you to be strong in your faith knowing that the Lord will never shame you. You are His child, and He dearly loves you. Stand tall before the Lord, Who defends you always!
