Mark 11:17 "Then He taught, saying to them, 'Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations? But you have made it a den of thieves.' "
Jesus was quoting from the prophets, Jeremiah and Isaiah, to get his point across. Den of thieves refers to the practice of cheating people, both Israelites and those of other nations, either through a crooked exchange of money or by selling inferior products.
Let's be encouraged to make our own homes into houses of prayer. Let's not allow the world to get into our homes and steal our peace by attempting to sell us temptations of the world. Dedicate your home to the Lord and He will surely bless it!
