HIDE ME FROM THE WICKED!

Psalm 17:7-9  "Show Your marvelous loving kindness by Your right hand, Oh You, who save those who trust in You from those who rise up against them. Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me under the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked who oppress me, from my deadly enemies who surround me."

I often wonder if King David was asking God to keep a good-eye on him. He was continually threatened by his enemies and was continually in prayer, seeking God's protection. In this Scripture, perhaps David depicted the love of God as a mother hen gathering her chicks under her wings to protect them.

Let's be encouraged today, knowing that God is greater than all things. He has power and dominion over all things. There is nothing too great for God. When we feel threatened by our enemies, let's ask God to keep us as the apple of His eye!
