Proverbs 14:29 "He who is slow to wrath has great understanding,
but he who is impulsive exalts folly."
How many of us, at times, have had knee-jerk reactions? I know I have on
more than one occasion. But now when I find myself in a situation that brings
anger into my heart, I stop and wait, and therefore am able to hold my
tongue. This way, I am more likely to avoid speaking with wrath.
Let's be encouraged today to be at peace when we are wronged, to think
first before speaking, and to pray about all situations that are difficult. This
way, we will avoid folly!
