Genesis 3:8-9 "And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?"
Of course, God knew where Adam and Eve were, but He was searching for the condition of their hearts. They regularly met there in the garden to talk with God, so when God saw they were hiding, He knew their hearts had changed. We, as believers are watched by the eyes of our Lord and are cared for by Him dearly. He always knows where we are, and the condition of our hearts.
Let's be encouraged today to be transparent before the Lord. He already knows what we are thinking, so let's honor that and not hide ourselves from Him. He desires nothing more than to have communion with us in this garden of life!
