WE WILL NOT BE ASHAMED!
1 John 2:28 "And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He
appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His
coming."
"What does this mean, that we will not be ashamed?" The word
ashamed in this Scripture in Greek is aischuno, which means
shame. To have a feeling of fear or shame which prevents one from doing
a thing. Here it means a possibility of being ashamed before the Lord at His
judgment seat.
The great news is that we will not be ashamed because we abide in Him. When
we abide in Him, we truly know Him. When we know Him, in turn, He knows us.
Let's be encouraged today to be strong in our faith knowing that the Lord
will never shame us. We are His children and He dearly loves us. Let's stand
tall before the Lord as He defends and protects us!
