1 Kings 17:14 "For thus says the Lord God of Israel: 'The bin of
flour shall not be used up, nor shall the jar of oil run dry, until the day the
Lord sends rain on the earth.' "
In this section of Scripture, God had commanded a widow to provide for the
prophet, Elijah. She was running out of flour and oil and was afraid that she
couldn't bake bread for him. When Elijah spoke these words to her, the widow had
to live by faith and realize the value in trusting in God alone.
Let's be encouraged to trust that God will always keep our cupboards full
during times of trouble, and know that He is faithful to His word!
