Isaiah 1:18 "Come now and let us reason together, says the
Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; Though
they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool."
Here God is not declaring innocence of their wickedness, but was prepared
to pardon their sins if they would repent and turn to Him. Since, "Come now and
let us reason together," means, "To come to a legal decision," then it
is easier to understand. These things had to take place under God's
law. Since Jesus came and paid the price for our sins, He
legally paid for our forgiveness and freedom.
Oh, the joy of our Living God, who sent His Son, Jesus, to rescue us from
our heavy sin. By asking God to forgive us and receiving Jesus as our Savior,
our sins have been washed in His blood and have become as white as snow.
Let's encourage one another to celebrate this amazing feat and to rejoice
together as His Bride!
