Luke 10:33 "But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where
he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion."
Let's look at the reversal of stereotypes in the story of the good
Samaritan. The priest and the Levite would have traditionally been the "good
guys." The Samaritan would have been the "bad guy," a person who compromised
religious matters. Interestingly, the Samaritan knew how to treat this
stranger.
May I encourage you to have compassion when you see someone in distress.
Be the "good guy," who will reflect the light of Jesus by coming to their
need!
